Road Race: the show!!!
Lot of spectators along
the 3,7 kms of the course in the center of Parabiago.
First start with WH1,
WH2, WH3, WH4, MH1.1 and MH1.2. 4 of these division have had
a sprint finish, so it means that the course is very fast
and not so easy to select the bunch.
in MH4 the fact: the
leaders didn't listen the final bell and run for 1 more lap.
In the final sprint Zanardi takes for first the finish line
but the commissaires gives the victory to Nati Gruber, first
rider to cross the line in the correct lap.

It's time for the TT !!
10kms the course to
ride pushing to the maximun, very big results.
Overall leader,
Vittorio Podestà with 40,700 km/h average.

Opening Ceremony
600 children were the
stars during the Opening Cereminy with a parade representing
all the 149 registered athletes and the 19 Countries.

Last cultural event with Monique
Last event before the
handbike races and special guest is Monique Van der Vorst.
The ducth rider came to
Parabiago in 2007 with her handbike and won 2 gold medals at
the World Championships. Today she is coming back, but this
time walking on her legs.
As for the other events,
the museum Officina Rancilio 1926 was full of people,
listening her story and wondering for her incredible
volountee to reach new goals in this new life.

appointment by GS Rancilio. This is the time of Fabrizio
Macchi.
2 times Individual Time

1926.

Alessandro Zanardi opens the cultural events
of Rancilio Cup
A big bounch of
spectators was present @ Officina Rancilio 1926, the company
museum by Rancilio Group, borned in the exact point where
the company of professional coffee machines was founded.
Claudio Arrigoni,
journalist from Gazzetta dello Sport and expert on
Paralimpic sport, spoke with Alex of many arguments,
starting from the family, to the present as professional
handbiker and finally to the car race world, where Zanardi
was for more then 20 years.

149 Athletes, 19 Countries
Registration is
officially closed and the Start List speaks of 149 Athletes
by 19 Countries, that will ride their handbike to cacth the
1st place during the last stage of EHC 2011.
Lot of that riders took
part to the recent World Championships, just few days ago,
in Roskilde - Denmark.

Hotels full booked!
Full booked the hotels
in Parabiago, due to the big request of rooms.
A new list of selected
hotels is added on the Event Official Rules, for those
athletes that have to book the stay during the event days.

138 Athletes by 18
Countries are in the Start List, few hours before the
closing of the registration.
The City is working a
lot to be ready for this big event to e able to host in the
best way all the Athletes with the tipical italian friendly
approach.
Good presence for the
Italian riders, with 40 riders.

Registration now open!!
Officially open the
registration to RancilioCup 2011.
We rember that only for
Italian athletes is mandatory to register via Italian
Cycling Federation web site; for foreigner athletes
registration is possible via EHF web site.
The complete and
updated start list will be visible on the EHF web site.
Registration will close
the 15th of september at 12,00pm.
